Blueberry Dreams
Elene Mikaberidze
Georgia, France, Belgium, Qatar - 2024 - 75 min
synopsis
Abkhazia is a self-proclaimed sovereign state, occupied by Russia and separated from the rest of Georgia by a barbed wire border. Between the romanticized vision of a lost territory and that of a country marked by a fratricidal war, the film follows the daily life of two families living on either side of the administrative line, thus weaving the link between a bitter history, a fragile present and the possibility of reimagining the future through a very particular vision of the world, that of children for whom dreams are not limited to the uncertain reality on the ground.
