Nothing to Be Afraid of
by Silva Khnkanosian
ARMENIA, France - 2019 - 72 MINUTES
synopsis
January 2018. In the mountains of Nagorno-Karabakh, 5 women systematically clear, square meter by square meter, the “Lachin corridor”, a former combat zone riddled with thousands of mines. The film captures the insane meticulousness of their labor, the tension that results, of humanity at work to ward off fear.
Director
French Silva KHNKANOSIAN (Armenia) trained at the Manana Youth Center, an Armenian organization that educates young artists and critics. She is currently active as a reporter and photographer, and Nothing to Be Afraid of is her first feature film.
